The largest automotive trade fair in the Russian North-Western region Auto+Automechnika Saint-Petersburg has been held since 1993.
In 1995 it was awarded with the sign of the International Union of Trade fairs and Exhibitions and in 2001 with the UFI sign that acknowledges the project as one the most significant events in the trade fair industry.

The 16th Auto+Automechanika St. Petersburg attracted over 37 000 visitors from 29.October, to 2.November, 2008 at Lenexpo Ehxibition Center, 8720 specialists came to Automechanika part of the exhibition for business visit. The fair has once again underscored its position as the leading professional fair for the sector in the North-West region of Russia.

The result of Auto+Automechanika St. Petersburg 2008 is the  doubtless source of pride. 234 exhibitors from Australia, Austria, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Hungary, Iran, Israel, Italy, Malta, Peru, Singapore, Turkey and Russia participated in Auto+Automechanika St. Petersburg 2008 on the area of 14 600 square meters. Today, Messe Frankfurt holds 13 Automechanika fairs worldwide, which are used by many companies to explore new, regional markets, to make personal contacts and to build up their own marketing networks.
